Whistler Children's Art Festival

It was super fun times at the Whistler Children's Art Festival today!
Whistler Creekside was packed with kids enjoying live music, face-painting, crazy balloon
creations, magic shows, circus performers and much more.

I was on Dusty's upstairs patio along side the Pet Village station, the Fairy & Gnome
House station and the Backyard Bird House station.
I was leading the animal jar workshops.

We all had a lot of fun and some amazing animal jars were created.

Although I will be at the Whistler Farmers Market tomorrow, the children's
festival will be in full swing again from 10-4pm.

Busy July Weekend

Sunny skies and warm weather provided a great environment for an action packed weekend in Whistler.

Stan Matwychuk and I live painted in the village for Artwalk's opening party on Friday.

On Saturday and Sunday Stan & I led community murals in the village. As usual they were a big hit with many young artists adding their creative touches to create two more beautiful banners! The banners will be displayed next weekend at the Whistler Childrens Art Festival.

Fourth of July Farmers Market

One of the many ridiculously cute dogs at the market
... definitely the biggest

Winter jackets, scarves and touques were out but it didn't hold back the crowds at yesterday's fourth of July market.
It was another great market. There was a wider variety of fruits and veggies this week.
My basket was filled with dandelion greens, beets, red peppers, eggplant, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, sour cherries and my new favorite Oddball Organics honey habanero garlic hot sauce...yummy!

Friday 2 July 2010

Andrea Mueller and myself led two more community murals in Whistler Village for Canada's 143th birthday yesterday.
Many small enthusiastic hands helped create two vibrant action packed paintings that will be displayed along side four others at the Whistler Children's Art Festival July 17 & 18th. www.whistlerartscouncil.com
I will be hosting another two community murals July 10th 1-6 and July 11th 12-5 in Whistler village.
